Most users think that it is safe to use these products because you will not have to pay damages, but as criminal copyright infringement and punitive damages can still be applied, its not really that safe.

Actually, the Admins at PDMT are usually pretty quick to remove any offending material. When I download something from PDMT, I usually check if it's PD before I upload to the Archive - PDMT is actually not a bad resource!

I didn't say I didn't like it, just that they were slacker than our own Video-Cellar. I'm sure that almost all of their "copyrighted" stuff is orphaned and usable by anyone, but the attitude here is to NEVER use ANYTHING that even SMELLS of copyright. Hence, be wary of uploading from PDMT.
Sorry if I offended anyone; it DID sound like I was knocking them, didn't it?
